Patent portfolio
Genovoxx´s patent portfolio consists of 16 published patent applications disclosing inventions on the following areas:
- Core sequencing technology, comprising different methods of massively parallel sequencing by synthesis, appropriate material preparation methods, necessary key-components for the sequencing technology, kits and technology applications, such as SNP- and mutation analysis as well as sequencing and gene expression analysis.
- A new kind of modification of nucleotides broadly applicable to nucleic acid labelling. This new modification strategy allows to modify nucleotides and their analogues with macromolecular structures, while still preserving the substrate properties of the nucleotide moiety for the enzymes.
The patent portfolio represents a major part of Genovoxx´s intellectual property. Filed patents have competitive filing dates in comparison to those of the competitors. Key patents are filed in the USA and in Europe or can be extended to these regions as well as Japan and other industrialized countries.
